5x expanded by Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk). Self-nominated at 07:52, 11 November 2016 (UTC).
- The article is expanded within the time frame, it is well written and within policy and either of the hooks are excellent (and supported by one source). QPQ is done. However, it is still quite short of a 5x expansion. The prose section was at around 5,400 characters when expansion began, and that would mean a five fold expansion should bring it to approximately 26 800 characters. It is currently around 18,500 characters long. Yakikaki (talk) 15:42, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki: But that is comprehensive enough for ship article to be a FA. Anyways if it is so, I'll come back after the article is promoted to GA (currently a GAN). Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk mail) 03:26, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Krishna Chaitanya Velaga: I think it's a good idea to come back when it's GA, I've been looking at the DYK rules again and they are quite clear that it must be a fivefold expansion. Even if it would be possible to achieve (a truly herculean task), the article would not gain from growing so much anyway. It's great as it is in my opinion and I'll be happy to make a new DYK review when it's been promoted to GA. Kind regards, Yakikaki (talk) 09:31, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Yakikaki: No worries, I'll comeback after it promoted to GA. But I have a small doubt, should I create a new nomination or on this same page. Regards, Krishna Chaitanya Velaga (talk mail) 09:37, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
- Krishna Chaitanya Velaga, you should create a new nomination. This page will be closed shortly—I've just marked it for closure, since you aren't planning to expand it but rather go the GA route—and should not be reopened once it is. Thanks. (Incidentally, DYKcheck gives the pre-expansion size of the article at 6022 prose characters, so the required expansion would be to 30,110 prose characters, not 26,800.)
