Hussein Samatar
[edit]- ... that Hussein Samatar (pictured) was the first Somali American elected to public office in Minnesota
and possibly the United States?

- - Article is new enough and long enough. No obvious copyvio nor close paraphrasing noticed. Some issues though - First: Hook contains a conjecture/supposition - not a fact ("possibly the United States"). Second: The hook fact is not supported by an independent, reliable source. This link used to support the hook is to an organization founded by Samatar. EagerToddler39 (talk) 18:55, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- Apologies, the hook fact previously had a different ref attached to it. I've added a better one. Also, I'm just fine with removing the "and possibly..." line, so here's the official ALT:

- Hope that works better. Thanks for reviewing! BobAmnertiopsis∴ChatMe! 19:03, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
- Another editor has since undone the changes you made so the source is still inappropriate for supporting the hook. EagerToddler39 (talk) 04:43, 21 January 2014 (UTC)
- A different user has restored the ref. BobAmnertiopsis∴ChatMe! 20:09, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
- - Hook fact supported by this reference. EagerToddler39 (talk) 02:34, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
