Humphrey Brooke (art historian)
[edit]- ... that Humphrey Brooke once said that manic depression "could only be cured by sex and smoking"?
- ALT1:... that Humphrey Brooke grew over 500 varieties of roses?
- Reviewed: Kobe Port Tower
Created by Edwardx (talk) and Joseph2302 (talk). Nominated by Joseph2302 (talk) at 23:23, 28 December 2016 (UTC).
- Hook Alt-1 is good to go (though, may want to tweak "over" to "more than", but not a big deal). Full review:
- Sourcing: Two sources are provided for Alt-0, one (The Guardian) does not appear to contain an approximation of the quote "could only be cured by sex and smoking" while the other contains an indirect version of the quote, but not the quote itself (namely, it says, "He suffered from manic depression and believed it could only be cured by sex and smoking."). It's also not 100% clear the second source is RS as it's a personal website so probably doesn't have a gatekeeping process (though is the personal website of an academically qualified person, so maybe it is). Alt1 is fully cited inline and supported by sources.
- Hook: Both hooks are interesting and concise.
- Image: No image to review against.
- Length: Article is more than 1500 characters in length.
- QPQ: a QPQ is in-progress - Kobe Port Tower
- Newness: Article created December 23 and nominated less than 7 days later
- NPOV: article and hook are NPOV
- Plagiarism: Earwig indicates "violation unlikely"
