Guangfu, Hebei

[edit]
  • ... that Guangfu in Hebei served as the capital of Turkish-backed rebels against the early Tang Dynasty?
    • ALT1:... that Guangfu in Hebei is a castle built in the middle of a swamp, with huge tracts of land?
    • ALT2:... that Li Shimin—the future Taizong Emperor of the Tang—defeated a rival army based in Mingzhou by building a dam across the Ming River and then breaking it during a battle?
    • ALT3:... that Guangfu is a AAAAA tourist site in Hebei, China?
    • ALT4:... that Guangfu was home to the founders of two of the largest schools of tai chi in the world?
    • ALT5:... that, after Dou Jiande's capture at the Battle of Hulao, his cavalry officers' first priority was returning to Mingzhou to raid the Xia treasury?
  • Reviewed: will do PTt paths

  • Article is new enough, long enough, and well referenced. I like ALT4 and I think it'll appeal to the widest audience, but it's not entirely accurate as written. The source does not say the Yang and Wu styles are the two largest schools of tai chi, but that 80% of all tai chi practitioners follow these two schools. I know Yang is very popular, but Wu (武 or Wu Hao) is less so than Chen or Wu (吳). So the Yang school may account for most of the 80% (if that's accurate, seems really high to me). Changing the hook (and text) to two of the largest schools would address the issue. -Zanhe (talk) 01:18, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
