Floppy trunk syndrome
[edit]- ... that floppy trunk syndrome mainly affects male elephants and is a condition that results in trunk paralysis?
- Comment: 5x expansion from this revision.

- Size, date and 5x expansion all OK. Simon Burchell (talk) 15:37, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- History: It would be nice to know where Fothergill Island is. I'm assuming it's in Zimbabwe but it's not stated. Simon Burchell (talk) 15:45, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Possible causes: A comparison of areas affected by FTS and unaffected areas suggests three plant species: suggests three plant species what? Something is missing here. Simon Burchell (talk) 15:48, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- The hook is referenced to a Lonely Planet guidebook - is this really the best sourcing for a medical condition in elephants? Simon Burchell (talk) 15:51, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Overall an interesting article, nicely presented. The history/possible causes queries above should be easy to sort out but a more solid reference for the hook would be preferable. Simon Burchell (talk) 15:53, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- I think I've covered all of those. Town of Cats (talk) 16:21, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for that - it all looks OK now.
AGF on offline refs (relevant pages not available on google books). All the best, Simon Burchell (talk) 16:28, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your review. Just for the record, only Poison clue to wildlife deaths should be unaccessible. The rest I found through Google or Google books. Town of Cats (talk) 16:31, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm. Google books is only allowing me one of your referenced pages for Biology, Medicine and Surgery of Elephants... Simon Burchell (talk) 16:34, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- I've changed the links up a bit; see if that helps. Town of Cats (talk) 16:47, 29 June 2012 (UTC)

- No, still getting the ol' "Some pages are omitted from this preview"... Simon Burchell (talk) 16:49, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, whatever. I always knew I was a bit magical. Glad Google agrees. Town of Cats (talk) 16:51, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- OK, got it, using a different computer, only difference Windows 7 vs Vista. Bizarre. Simon Burchell (talk) 19:45, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
