Rescued from AfD; article is still nominated for deletion at the time of this DYK nom but should be closed and kept before too long. A review would still be much appreciated, though a tick can't be given until the AfD is closed. The AfD has been closed, so the article is open to a DYK review now.

- Comment I have no doubt that this will be a 'keep' at AfD. The next thing that needs to happen is that you provide a QPQ. Schwede66 21:28, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- Query Is the ALT 1 hook Flags of the World website a reliable source? It cites in turn Alfred Znamierowski's The World Encyclopedia Of Flags, but I don't have a copy to confirm. — AjaxSmack 04:56, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
- AjaxSmack, I do believe that FotW is a reliable source - strangely enough, I used to have a copy of that book and now cannot find it, though it's a good reference material so I plan on getting a new copy soon. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 16:26, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- Flags of the World (website) § Disclaimer explains why it might not be reliable. The issue of this site as a source has come up before in discussions here, here and here. — AjaxSmack 17:11, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
- AjaxSmack, I'm happy to strike ALT1 if that is getting in the way of a tick in any way; a new copy of the above book is on the way but might take a little over a week to get to me. I'll happily (and quite eagerly, honestly) add information and the appropriate references from that book to the article as soon as I can. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Overall: Looks good. I'm not thrilled with the hooks. How do people feel about Alt2a? --evrik (talk) 23:30, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- Sounds great to me, we just need another reviewer to sign off on it and we should be good to go. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 04:14, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
- I was about to approve this, but the sentence that mentions the discontinuation lacks a footnote. This is just a minor issue and I'll give this a tick once that's addressed. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 00:51, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5: I have added the appropriate footnote for this line. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 02:20, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Narutolovehinata5 and PCN02WPS: that sentenced is sourced. --evrik (talk) 02:25, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

- Thanks, approving ALT2a per the above review. I checked the source and I am assuming good faith, although Google Translate seems to check out the information. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 08:26, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
