5x expanded Improved to GA by Lindsey40186 (talk). Self-nominated at 19:46, 14 July 2022 (UTC).
- Hi there, Lindsey40186, and welcome to DYK! Unfortunately, it looks like you're shy of a 5x expansion – not by length, mind you, but by time. A 5x expansion, unfortunately, needs to take place in under a week – it looks like, start to finish, this began on June 25. Presently, this would need to reach 25,840B, and I don't think that's feasible. However, you've done some really great work, and this looks like it's pretty close to GA-ready – how about you nominate it there, and we'll revisit this if it passes? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 05:12, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Overall: There are several passages that are too closely paraphrased and need to be rewritten. --evrik (talk) 21:27, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Lindsey40186: Have you resolved the above concerns? Z1720 (talk) 19:38, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Evrik and Z1720: She hasn't edited since July 26. I will note that I said this at GAN:
The Earwig tool, used to check for copyright violations, does find higher than normal overlap to some of the Coast Guard pages, but those are public domain works (like the images, as work by federal employees for their jobs). Most of the other matches are common formulations and the "easy chore" quote.

- The page is long and well referenced. There's no copyvio issue and the page can be nominated for DYK as a result of its GA level. The hook is interesting and is backed by a reliable source both here and in the text. Tough I have tweaked the hook featuring the fact the she was the first keeper appointed by the president and the last one in the US to keep a lighthouse:
- Alt1:
...that Fannie Salter (pictured) was the first keeper personally appointed by a U.S. president for Turkey Point Light and the last civilian female lighthouse keeper in the U.S.?

- Mhhossein, if you are adding any new facts to your replacement hook, you cannot also approve it, and "last civilian female lighthouse keeper in the U.S." is a major addition that needs independent review. I'm unclear as to whether you've proposed ALT1 as an alternative to or replacement of the original hook; if an alternative, then the original hook would be eligible for promotion now, but ALT1 not unless another reviewer checks it out and approves it. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:13, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- I don't think the sourcing for the new claim in ALT1 (news.maryland.gov and and the U.S. Lighthouse Society) is up to snuff. Before anyone begins to look for counterexamples, the claim needs a more solid foundation. In the meantime, ALT0 is good to go per Mhhossein's review (I would argue that this is in the public domain as a work of the U.S. government, and cannot constitute a copyright violation). theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 19:22, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset: thanks for the comment, yes, my suggestion was a major change and I had to leave the review for ALT1 to others. But, as theleekycauldron said, Alt0 can still be promoted. Best, --Mhhossein talk 06:21, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Striking ALT1 based on theleekycauldron's review. Original hook remains approved. BlueMoonset (talk) 12:56, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Reinstating Mhhossein's tick from approval of the original hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:44, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
