Fann Street Foundry
[edit]- ... that typographers at the Fann Street Foundry created the first lower case sans serif and first patented typefaces?
- ALT1:... that Fann Street Foundry was bought by William Thorowgood in 1820, using his lottery winnings?
- Reviewed: James Brown (Elvis impersonator)
Created by Edwardx (talk), Philafrenzy (talk). Nominated by Edwardx (talk) at 13:59, 17 July 2014 (UTC).
- New enough, long enough, no copyvios, hook is cited, NPOV compliant, but I prefer the ALT1 hook to the current one because the foundry didn't produce the typeface, according to the cited source, it was Thorowgood who did it by himself (presumably, since the source makes no mention of this foundry). - I've added "typographers at the" to the first hook to address your concerns. Edwardx (talk) 12:12, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
- Now that that's done this looks G2G to me! Jinkinson talk to me 22:19, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
