Hook eligibility:
- Cited:
- Interesting:
- Other problems: - ALT1 is unsatisfactory because it's about a different site and isn't interesting. The primary hook is better but the phrase "once occupied by one of the world's largest pencil makers, " needs work as the claim of "world's largest" is not supported by the source and it doesn't much add much to say that a pencil factory was occupied by a pencil maker.
QPQ:
Overall: Earwig reports a number of phrases which appear in the Historic Commission report but I've been through them and they are either proper names or fairly standard phrases and so not significant. It would be good to have a picture but I'd agree that the pictures currently in the article seem too dull and drab. Here's a 1905 advert for "The Oldest Pencil Factory in America", which might help. - @Casliber and Andrew Davidson:, thank you very much for the two reviews. Andrew, in regards to ALT1 and the phrase "World's largest", the NYCLPC document says on page 9,
The Faber company grew to become one of the largest pencil manufacturers in the world
. Pages 8-9 of this document talk about the development of the Faber company into the new factory. I have suggested ALT2 and ALT3 as well, with the emphasis being that the Faber Company was among the largest pencil makers in the world when the factory was built. Thanks for the Flickr link, I may upload it and add it to the article. epicgenius (talk) 12:27, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
- @Casliber and Andrew Davidson:, thank you very much for the two reviews. Andrew, in regards to ALT1 and the phrase "World's largest", the NYCLPC document says on page 9,
- ALT4:... that the HQs of Kickstarter and the United Nations were both established on sites of the Eberhard Faber Pencil Factory?
- I like ALT4 as well. epicgenius (talk) 13:01, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
