EXAI

[edit]
  • ... that EXAI offers website conversion to make mobile friendly websites for Google's Mobile First Indexing? Source: "Since google announced Mobile First Indexing in November 2016, EXAI started working on a solution that will provide millions of business around the world with a mobile friendly version of their website." • Personally, I do not consider this sufficiently interesting for DYK. Catrìona (talk) 00:29, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Suggest an altu blurb?Lihaas (talk) 03:01, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
  • A drive by comment, and not wishing to give offense, although I probably will: I am not convinced that the grammar and use of English in this article is up to being in Wikipedia's "shop window". I stopped by to see if I could come up with a hookier hook, but in several places I was honestly unsure what was being communicated.
Could I suggest a thorough copy edit. A possibility re this is a GOCE Request. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:56, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
@Gog the Mild: What part, by example, can you suggest is deficient?Lihaas (talk) 04:42, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
  • Honestly the article looks fine to me right now, and the grammar doesn't look too off. My main concern is that the article somewhat reads like a promo piece, and probably needs to be rewritten in a more neutral tone. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:52, 30 October 2018 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5:In what way do you think it needs a change?Lihaas (talk) 03:41, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Well for one, I'm not sure if the "novel" should be used here: it sounds like a peacock term to me. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 09:51, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Hows this? @Narutolovehinata5:?Lihaas (talk) 12:14, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
  • The article is still somewhat poorly written. For instance, Though the company initially maintained a low-profile it had 15,000 websites created for clients. Did the company or clients "make" the websites? The company sought to use Facebook for business where some companies can choose to feature their local businesses and then convert it to a full website. EXAI however used the reverse model where Facebook pages can be converted by automation into full websites. The way I read this is that EXAI does the exact same thing as Facebook. Make a FB page and then turn that page into a website. It also offers the capability to convert SME websites to a mobile friendly version since Google introduced Mobile First Indexing. Are we supposed to know what SME and Mobile First Indexing means?

I'd be of the opinion to reject this nomination ("...or else requires considerable work before becoming eligible") given it has been up for over a month and the issues mentioned in the third comment are still yet to be fully resolved. Note that not just the hook has to be ready for the main page. Anarchyte (talk | work) 09:26, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
  • Considering the WP:SOAP concerns for both the hook and the article, which seem to be insurmountable for the foreseeable future, this is now marked for closure as unsuccessful. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 23:39, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
That can be changed if pointed out. Its not insurmountable at all. In regards to your questions:
1. It already said that had the websites created for.
2. Well know it takes the one page FB site and thenconvert that into a full blownwebsite.
3. Wikilinked.
Ive been ready to answer them all along the way too. The hook is sourcecd too. I;m open to alternatives and ready to work cooperatively.Lihaas (talk) 11:25, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
