Diversi

  • size, age and hook check out - offline sources accepted in good faith. Only thing is I have no idea who Joey D. is, so maybe a word or two describing him would be good. Cas Liber (talk · contribs) 08:25, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
ALT1 ... "that critically acclaimed jazzer Joey DeFrancesco thought Diversi organs were so good, he stopped using Hammonds and bought a stake in the company?" I've added another news source to make the "critically acclaimed" bit stick, as it praises DeFrancesco and explicitly mentions his association with Diversi in the same piece. I can also thoroughly recommend shelling out 20 bucks for the offline source if you're at all interested in this topic.Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 08:53, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
  • Pulled from queue due to concerns about hook, discussed on DYK talk page. --Orlady (talk) 15:00, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
  • One of the concerns about the hook was the "so good" phrasing which appeared promotional. How about the following alt 2? Binksternet (talk) 16:46, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
  • As noted in the DYK talk page discussion, the article currently says that DeFrancesco owned a stake, but not that he acquired it by buying it (as opposed to, say, an endorsement deal that included said stake). Using either "acquired" or "obtained" instead of "bought" would work with the article as it is now, or a more explicit statement in the article that he did indeed buy a stake in the company (backed up by the source, presumably) would also satisfy this issue. I'm otherwise fine with proposed ALT2 hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:24, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
