Dirt Candy

[edit]
  • ... that Manhattan vegetarian restaurant Dirt Candy is "waging war on the 'eat your vegetables' mind-set"? Wells, Pete (November 27, 2012). "Like a Kid in a Vegetable Store". The New York Times.
    • ALT1:... that desserts at Manhattan vegetarian restaurant Dirt Candy have included popcorn pudding, eggplant tiramisu, and eggplant foster?
  • Reviewed: Summer Lake Hot Springs
  • Comment: Talking with the restaurant to get some higher quality photos than are in the article now. They tend to be visually interesting so I'd like to put this nomination on hold for a few days to see if I can make that happen. I will update here soon. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 06:56, 2 February 2018 (UTC)

  • Length and newness fine, both hooks sourced, cited and interesting though I prefer the first. Passed a check for copyvio; QPQ completed. Gatoclass (talk) 09:17, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks. I would still prefer to wait a few days for a better image. We do have File:Dirt candy portobello mousse (3505768667).jpg, which may work for DYK, but the restaurant tried to send some good images to me -- they just hadn't been licensed properly. Hoping to get that worked out, since the quality of the images is better. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 01:53, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: thanks for the ping. I just sent them one last message saying that we'll be moving forward if they can't release the better/newer images by Saturday. Since they did try to send some (by Facebook), it seems they want to do so, but I agree a lot of time has gone by. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 01:58, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
  • @Rhododendrites: thanks for your efforts. I agree with Gatoclass that the first hook is the best, so I'm moving it to a quirky slot. Yoninah (talk) 18:14, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
