Dipolydora commensalis, Neanthes fucata
[edit]( Back to T:TDYK )
( Article history links: )
- ... that Dipolydora commensalis and Neanthes fucata are both worms that live in association with hermit crabs?
- ALT1:... that the hermit crabs that host Dipolydora commensalis and Neanthes fucata probably recognise their associates and do not attack them?

- Articles new enough, long enough.
- Inline citations. Copyvio check ok for both. QPQ done.
- Hook short enough, I suggest a variant of ALT1.
- ALT2:... that hermit crabs with Dipolydora commensalis or Neanthes fucata worms probably recognise their associates and do not attack them?
- The only problem is a redlink in Neanthes fucata to the genus Neanthes, for which we have no article. Either the article should be created or the link should be removed. Once the redlink is gone, this will be ready for DYK. Interesting articles, well-researched, a good addition to Wikipedia. HouseOfChange (talk) 22:10, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
- @HouseOfChange: Thank you. I don't think a redlink is a bar to DYK, see the recent DYK Psalm 133 for example. I could create an article for Neanthes and list the 80 or so species, with 79 redlinks and one blue, but it would seem rather unnecessary. I prefer ALT1 to ALT2 because it mentions the word "host". - ALT3:... that the hermit crabs that host the worms Dipolydora commensalis and Neanthes fucata probably recognise their associates and do not attack them?
But if you prefer ALT1, that is also fine. Whichever you pick is fine, it is your DYK. Ready to go, IMO. HouseOfChange (talk) 11:47, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. ALT3 is fine. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:13, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
- The first paragraph under Ecology in Dipolydora commensalis lacks a cite, per Rule D2. Yoninah (talk) 13:21, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Someone had subdivided a long paragraph, separating the new first paragraph from its citation. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:58, 24 December 2018 (UTC)
