Devon Powers

  • ... that Devon Powers was influenced by her personal experience as a music journalist to author Writing the Record: The Village Voice and the Birth of Rock Criticism? • @A. C. Santacruz: According to the QPQ checker, the user is exempt from the QPQ requirement because this is their fourth nomination. Please correct me if I am mistaken. Z1720 (talk) 19:22, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
  • I've poked around DYK trying to find some low-hanging fruit to start reviewing, but the process is a bit intimidating. Any tips for how to get started would be welcome. pburka (talk) 23:33, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
  • Hey @Pburka! Glad you're taking an interest in DYK. My advice would be start by reviewing the nominations that interest you; those will usually be easier for you to verify. Over time, you won't find that there's low-hanging fruit too often, but you will find that you're better at reaching for the higher ones. It just takes practice! Don't be afraid to make a few mistakes, ask for help when you need it at WT:DYK—shouldn't take too long for you to be a natural at it! Oh, and use the reviewer's template, it's fantastic. Have fun, and thanks for your interest! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 06:13, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
