"I was just struck by the persona of this guy," says Coleman, then 26 and "going nowhere in law school." The next day, he got on a plane, flew to New York and applied to acting schools.[1]

I considered adding something about "dropping out of law school" to the first hook, but I was trying to keep it short. Also, thanks, Tamzin for the suggestion to hook the cigarette smoking thing.
