Cy Young's perfect game
[edit]( )
- ... that Cy Young (pictured) threw a perfect game in the midst of a then-Major League Baseball record streak of 45 consecutive scoreless innings pitched?
- ALT1: ... that Cy Young (pictured) threw a perfect game in the midst of a Major League Baseball record streak of 25+1⁄3 innings pitched without allowing a hit?
- ALT2: ... that when Cy Young (pictured) threw a perfect game, he exclaimed "How do you like that, you hayseed?" at Rube Waddell?
- Comment: I might like ALT1 better, as it remains an MLB record 108 years later. Or Maybe ALT2 is better– Muboshgu (talk) 17:24, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

- QPQ done. Article is fully supported by inline sources. Article is new enough and long enough. Image has an acceptable copyright tag for the main page. Article is neutral enough. plagiarism check there and elsewhere showed no cause for concerns. Hook is interesting enough. Assuming good faith the offline book source is free of plagiarism and supports text.
- this source is not really supporting text? (Found when doing plagiarism check.) Or remove that citation as this appears to cover text. --LauraHale (talk) 12:09, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
