Crawley Development Corporation

  • The hook is slightly ungrammatical. I would propose the following instead:
[ALT1] ... that a farmer drove his tractor from Crawley to Buckingham Palace to protest the land acquisition policies of Crawley Development Corporation?
If this is considered too much of a change, it might be OK simply to change "in protest at" in the original hook to "in protest of" or "in protest over".
The article is long enough, new enough, and appears properly sourced. The hook (either the original or my proposed ALT1) seems OK, though since the source is not available online, it'll have to be accepted in good faith.
If it were up to me, I'd approve this with the ALT1 hook — though I think a second opinion is in order here, first because I'm new to DYK reviewing, and second because I shouldn't be the one to approve my own rewritten hook. — Richwales 03:31, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Thx for your review; I am happy with the ALT hook proposal. Hassocks5489 (tickets please!) 07:33, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Highlighting request for second opinion, and need for independent review of ALT1 hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:32, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Interesting, long, well-referenced article. Hook looks good.--Carabinieri (talk) 12:42, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
