Cherokee Apartments
- ... that the Cherokee Apartments in New York City were built as a residence for tuberculosis patients? Source: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/05/12/realestate/homes-built-for-healing.html: "The Cherokee Apartments, between East 77th and 78th Streets, and York Avenue and Cherokee Place, opened in 1912 as the Shively Sanitary Tenements. The development was conceived by Dr. Henry L. Shively, the head of the tuberculosis clinic at Presbyterian Hospital, and designed by the architect Henry Atterbury Smith for low-income tuberculosis patients and their families."

- @Rublov: Not a review, but do you mind if I suggest these hooks as well?
- ALT1 ... that the Cherokee Apartments in New York City, built as a residence for tuberculosis patients, were converted to regular apartments after just 12 years? - I also expanded the page slightly and added an image. Epicgenius (talk) 17:29, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Epicgenius: thanks for your work on the article. I like ALT2, how does this slight rephrasing sound?
- ALT3 ... that a walk-up apartment at a former residence for tuberculosis patients in New York City cost half a million dollars in 2014? Source: same as ALT2

- I like ALT3 as well. Hopefully, a reviewer will agree. Epicgenius (talk) 00:09, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- On a side note, Rublov, do you mind if I am also credited for this nom? I didn't expect to find so much additional info when I edited the page yesterday. Thanks for creating this article, by the way. Epicgenius (talk) 23:16, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Epicgenius: Sure, you've written most of the article at this point. Do you know how that will affect the QPQ requirement? rblv (talk) 12:55, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Rublov: Thanks. I don't think it would affect the QPQ requirement, as QPQ is only required if the nominator has already nominated more than five articles, but maybe the @DYK admins: can confirm. Nonetheless, I could do a QPQ if desired. Epicgenius (talk) 13:04, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Epicgenius: yes, it's the nominator that matters. BorgQueen (talk) 13:06, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

- Not a review either, but I think ALT3 is too wordy. I love ALT2 though, it would be my first choice. SSR07 (talk) 01:27, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

- Reviewing.. New enough, long enough, QPQ not needed, reads well. Hooks are in article and in several references. Hooks are interesting (luxury Manhatten appartments originally built as affordable housing for New York's consumptives). An image could be added if wish. I'll go through and complete review soon. - ... No copyvio issues, ALT2 is good, in article and in sources. Suggest adjust wording to remove "patients". The article reads well, enough good references, random checks okay. Thank you. Whispyhistory (talk) 02:21, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Epicgenius: okay to replace "tuberculosis patients" with "people with tuberculosis" in your ALT2 hook? rblv (talk) 13:08, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Rublov: Yeah, go ahead. Epicgenius (talk) 19:35, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
