Caroling Dusk, An Anthology of Verse by American Negroes, The Book of American Negro Poetry, Negro Poets and Their Poems
- ALT1 ... that The Book of American Negro Poetry, Negro Poets and Their Poems, An Anthology of Verse by American Negroes, and Caroling Dusk, major poetry anthologies from the Harlem Renaissance, included poems by African-American poets ranging from Langston Hughes to a nine-year-old girl?
- ALT2 ... that The Book of American Negro Poetry, Negro Poets and Their Poems, An Anthology of Verse by American Negroes, and Caroling Dusk were major anthologies of African-American poems published in the 1920s?

- Please can I request for a restructuring of this article? I feel it does not flow well starting with a table with a count of submissions. The table can come lower in the article if needed. Ktin (talk) 05:06, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- Doing... working a background section. Eddie891 Talk Work 13:13, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- Ktin, I've moved details around and added a section providing context of the era. Is this better? Eddie891 Talk Work 13:39, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
- Hi, Ktin, I'd like to belatedly expand this to four noms. Please don't feel obligated to continue the review, as I know it isn't what you signed up for. Eddie891 Talk Work 14:08, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Eddie891: No problem at all. Is it alright if I picked it up later in the day? Thanks Ktin (talk) 14:49, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

- Ktin Are you reviewing this? SL93 (talk) 01:11, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- SL93 can I ask for some support if you have some spare cycles? I underestimated my off-wiki schedules. Alternately, I will do my best to get to it over the weekend. Thanks in advance Ktin (talk) 02:06, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Overall: Thanks. I am reasonably sure that the hooks are all cited. But, for the avoidance of doubt, please can I request you to paste the text as-is here, so that can serve as a reference. Approving based on the discussion below. ALT0, ALT1, and ALT2 are all approved. Ktin (talk) 01:53, 15 March 2021 (UTC)

Overall: Edits look good. Not fully sold on the table as the best representation format for the works included. However, I am not able to think of a better representation. If you are able to, that would be great. Also, I am reasonably sure that the hooks are all cited. But, for the avoidance of doubt, please can I request you to paste the text as-is here, so that can serve as a reference. Approving based on the discussion below. ALT0, ALT1, and ALT2 are all approved. I have no preference on which hook is selected. I will ask the nominator for their preference as well. Ktin (talk) 02:04, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- Eddie891 Thanks a ton for your patience. I have added my notes above. This is my first time working a multi-article nomination. So, I have created a segment for each article. Let me know if this representation format works or if I should paste this into each of the articles' talk page. I didnt find a template for each article. Also, regarding the hook's citation, I am pretty confident, but, would be great if you can paste the text as-is from the Google Books page. Will use that as a reference. Cheers. Passing the baton back to you. Ktin (talk) 02:10, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ktin, Thanks, yes this is a fine way to format it. I will get to this eventually, really busy today. Eddie891 Talk Work 00:45, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- Eddie891 absolutely no worries on time. Please take your time. I have been heads-down on some off-wiki stuff myself. Cheers and good luck. Ktin (talk) 00:50, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ktin, so the relevant text from [1] here is " In addition to Johnson's [The Book of American Negro Poetry] and Cullen's [Caroling Dusk] anthologies, two other major poetry collections ... appeared during the 1920s to showcase black writers... Negro Poets and Their Poems in 1923 ...[and] An Anthology of Verse by American Negroes". It's in the Encyclopedia of the Harlem Renaissance, and the source goes on to say "The fact that four separate poetry collections dedicated to black poetry appeared within the span of five years attests to the importance, vitality, and continuous renewal of the poetry of the Harlem Renassaince". You can source Langston Hughes and the nine year old to several places, perhaps most easily Caroling Dusk itself. Let me know if this is satisfactory. Eddie891 Talk Work 00:53, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks Eddie891. Almost there, I am struggling a bit on the nine year old reference. I searched here and was not able to find it directly. Am I doing something wrong? Ktin (talk) 01:09, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ktin Would have required math and knowing the name of the girl (which I certainly couldn't do with the context that I provided :)) apologies! Try this p. 337: "Weeden, Lula Lowe: This Lynchburg, Virginia, girl was nine years of age at the time Countee Cullen included six of her poems in his 1927 anthology, Caroling Dusk. Eddie891 Talk Work 01:16, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Eddie891, Super! That does it. Let me go approve the hooks. ALT0, ALT1, and ALT2 are all good. Do you have a preference on which one you'd want promoted? Else, do you want to leave it to the prep-builder? Cheers. Ktin (talk) 01:41, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
-
- ALT0, ALT1, and ALT2 approved. Prep-builder can use their judgement on the best one to pick. Cheers. Ktin (talk) 01:54, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
