Bnois King
[edit]- ... that .... Texas blues guitarist, Bnois King, was paid just $15 for his first professional stage appearance while still in high school?
- ALT1:Texas bluesman, Bnois King, main vocalist and original song writer for the Smokin' Joe Kubek Band, didn't start singing on stage until he was in his mid-40s?
- Reviewed: Faskally Forest
- Comment: I've been traveling and very busy of late, so I hope the article's creation date is not too big of a problem here. –GQ

- Fascinating article, but there are issues. First thing, need to know from admin or regular promoter about dating. Not just a few days out, which is normally an easy exception. Article was created on Oct 14 and not nom until Nov 4. That's 3 weeks and I am not comfortable overriding that without other eyes. @Victuallers, Maile66, and Yoninah: or anyone who has more experience at this than me???
- No apparent close paraphrasing, and article at 3714 char long enough. Neutral. No image. In-line citations; however, All Music and press release from Blind Pig Records not RS.
- Issues:
- QPQ missing. QPQ on Template:Did you know nominations/Faskally Forest was approved by Biblioworm. No apparent issues, no need for 2nd review of already approved article.
- Hook 1 is 124 char/ under the maximum. Interesting but, the source does not say he was still in high school. It says he was driving a milk truck, whether he was still in school or not, is not addressed.
- Hook 2 is 158 char/ under maximum. Interesting but, no where in the article. It says he didn't start singing or writing until he teamed up with Kubrick, but doesn't give his age at that time. The source, also doesn't give an age, thus, it is impossible to to verify the fact. I did find an article from Blues & Blast Magazine, which would verify his age at 45 [1] but again, the age part of the hook is neither stated in the article nor cited.
- You need to replace the information in the two non-RS with RS. RS must be independent from the subject. [2], [3] cover quite of few of the points made in the other sources and you might find them useful, or I am sure others exist. SusunW (talk) 02:10, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset: What's the latest on IAR for the 7-day edict? — Maile (talk) 16:46, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- Maile, I don't think it's promising for this nomination, since Gen Quest isn't new to DYK—the IAR exceptions beyond a day or two are generally for newcomers to DYK, and even then rarely this long. (The discussion is still ongoing at WT:DYK.) The article, if it eventually passes GA, could be eligible for DYK at that point. (The other options, a 5x expansion starting seven days before November 4, does not look feasible.) BlueMoonset (talk) 22:47, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
