Belgium in the long nineteenth century

[edit]

Belgian Revolution

* ... that during the long nineteenth century, Belgium was ruled by Austria, rebels, France, and the Netherlands before gaining independence and itself ruling the Congo (King Leopold II pictured)?

Moved to mainspace by Brigade Piron (talk). Nominated by Oreo Priest (talk) at 15:51, 18 April 2014 (UTC).

  • Date, length and hook all OK. I'm not too sure the pics adequately suit the hook but I'll let the promoter decide. QPQ done. Good to go. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 16:58, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
How is ALT 2? I think the caption and picture are probably more suitable. In retrospect, picturing Leopold II also doesn't make any sense, so I've struck that one out. Oreo Priest talk 17:52, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Late offer of image - its a zoom on the painting in the article Victuallers (talk) 08:56, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
