Beatrice Nasmyth
[edit]- ... that during the First World War journalist Beatrice Nasmyth, posted in London, had her brother smuggle articles back to Canada to avoid censorship? Source: "...Beatrice Nasmyth didn't like being censored and she often sent reports home via her brother who was a businessman, who would come to Britain during the war. So they didn't have to go through the undersea cable to Canada, where they would face censorship again."[1]
