Bears Ears National Monument

[edit]
The Bears Ears are a pair of distinctive buttes in Southeastern Utah held sacred by a number of Native American tribes, now protected as a National Monument.

Looks almost good to go! Article created on December 29 and nominated a day later. Article looks good, properly sourced throughout. Nominator has no previous DYK credits. No copyvios detected, all false positives due to quotes and names. Alt1 looks good to go, and the source confirms the fact. Alt2 is almost there, but I am unsure if the tribal commission as described in the source is the same as "co-managing" the national monument, as claimed in the hook. Perhaps Alt2 needs to be re-worded?

However, I will fully support this nomination if Alt-1 is chosen. --haha169 (talk) 08:44, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

I would like to rephrase my earlier review as it seems I have confused the alt versions. In summary: Original; ALT 1 --haha169 (talk) 09:23, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
