Battle of Constantinople (1147)
[edit]- ... that the Byzantine emperor Manuel I deliberately provoked the German contingent of the Second Crusade into fighting a battle in order to make them leave the vicinity of his capital?

- Good to go. New article created 30 June, size is fine, sources look pretty decent, citation style is fine, prose is well-written, images used are PD, hook is pretty interesting/unusual (off-line source accepted in good faith). Not a self-nomination so no QPQ necessary. I think the hook could be shortened a little to "…in order to make them leave his capital?", but it's not a huge issue.
