Bartley-Fox Law

[edit]
  • ... that the Bartley-Fox Law mandated a one-year prison sentence for anyone convicted of illegally carrying a firearm in Massachusetts? Source: "The Massachusetts legislature took this approach when it enacted the Bartley-Fox gun law, which mandated a one-year minimum prison term for the unlicensed carrying of firearms." Pierce & Bowers 1981 (page 122)

  • Article should have a distinct background and introduction section to separate the lead from the article content, but it does pass the baseline requirements (length, creation date, copyvio, etc). Might suggest shortening the hook to just "... that the Bartley-Fox Law mandated a one-year prison sentence for anyone convicted of illegally carrying a firearm in Massachusetts?" • The ed17 I split off part of the lead into a separate section, and reworded the hook as you suggested. Everymorning (talk) 12:28, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
  • Thanks, Everymorning. Also, noting here for the record that after assessing this article, I got inspired and added content and refs to the article. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 06:12, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
