Armando Ríos Piter
[edit]- ... that Armando Ríos Piter declined his own party's nomination for Governor of Guerrero because it wanted him to sign a pact with the disgraced former governor?

- Comment: Currently running an independent campaign for president in Mexico. If the article must be held back for this reason, the wait time would be around five months. The article in the shape it was in needed updating and did not even mention the independent campaign. I opted not to make his hook about the campaign in order to make it not seem like a campaign ad.
5x expanded by Raymie (talk). Self-nominated at 22:10, 11 February 2018 (UTC).
- Raymie I'm reviewing the article, will ask at WT:DYK about whether it can run now or whether we should wait til after the Mexican general election, 2018 on 1 July.
- Expanded enough (750 characters to 4,500 characters), expanded on 8 Feb & nominated on 11 Feb, article is within policy (AGF on the sourcing as it's in Spanish).
- Hook is short enough, interesting to a broad audience. AGF on the sources- look fine, but they're in Spanish.
- QPQ done.
- Overall, this nomination passes (AGF on Spanish language sources), congratulations. I'll post at WT:DYK about whether we can run it now or not. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:22, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
