Apus
[edit]- ... that, unusually for a constellation, the five brightest stars of Apus are red-tinged? Source - para 4
- ALT1:... that Lacaille shortened the tail of a bird of paradise to make an octant? Source

- GA status verified. Article meets DYK requirements for length, quality, and sourcing. Earwig found no significant copyvio (as you would expect from GA but you never know; there are some phrases in common but they are mostly technical terms that are hard to phrase any other way). The first hook is boring but I like ALT1 and checked its sourcing. QPQ done. Good to go with ALT1. —David Eppstein (talk) 07:50, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
