Americus (horse)

[edit]

Created/expanded by Ealdgyth (talk). Self nom at 13:41, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Alt1 ... that the racehorse Americus, despite being called "fat as a showyard bull", still finished fourth in the 1899 Steward's Cup at Goodwood?
New enough, long enough, well cited throughout, neutrally written, copyvio check finds none, hook is interesting and cited from two online contemporary sources. I am approving the original hook and also a shorter Alt1. Whoever moves this on can choose which to use, but Ealdgyth may have a preference? Moonraker (talk) 05:02, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
I'm good with either, honestly. I know I tend to wordiness... Ealdgyth - Talk 12:47, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
