Allan Singleton-Wood

[edit]

Created by Factual1979 (talk). Nominated by WikiDan61 (talk) at 18:42, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

  • New enough and long enough. The hook is more specific than the article which states "Singleton-Wood gave The Springfields vocal group featuring Dusty Springfield its first radio broadcast in Wales." The references are offline so I am unsure whether this was the first radio broadcast anywhere or just the first in Wales. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:09, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Note: I'm leaving a note about this on WikiDan61's talk page, which I hope will get this moving after almost a month. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:07, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
    • Sorry, I can't think of a different hook for the article. If the one provided is not acceptable, then I'd just let the whole thing go. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:06, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
  • Given Cwmhiraeth's caveats, I would think that only a slight hook modification would be needed to bring the hook in line with the article, by adding "in Wales" after "performance":
Does that work for you? I take it that the original source only gives the Wales info, and does not make the claim that this was the first-ever radio performance for The Springfields... BlueMoonset (talk) 04:20, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
no objection to the modification. I would have suggested it myself except I thought it of too limited interest. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 06:17, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
  • I approve the hook modification and consider the article passes all the other DYK criteria. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:43, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
