Algeripithecus
[edit]- ... that Algeripithecus, a 46-50 million year old fossil primate
from Algeria, was once crucial for the African origins ofearlysimians (monkeys & apes), but now suggests African origins for lemurs and lorisoids?

I have been rewriting/creating five articles, and I will be doing five reviews for other DYK nominations over the coming hours. – Maky « talk » 23:43, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
- There is also a question of whether this nomination should be merged with another—see: Template:Did you know nominations/Azibiidae – Maky « talk » 00:08, 4 June 2012 (UTC)

- Long enough, expanded five-fold from June 2, the hook is in the article, and is verified. The hook is 209 characters, on the long side of the 200 limit, can it be made a little shorter? Spot-checks reveal no copyvio concerns. Can we come to some settlement about whether this article is to be bundled into another nom? Personally, I find this hook more interesting than the multiple hook. If the decision is to keep this nom separate, I'm ready to support pending the hook issue being dealt with. - Fair enough. I've shortened the hook above (down to 192). Also, there's been one vote to keep the hooks separate at the other nomination, and I favor that, too. Let's just do that. – Maky « talk » 01:41, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
- Good to go then. Quasihuman (talk • contribs) 08:46, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
