Alexander Roslin
[edit]... that although Alexander Roslin immortalized himself with the King of Sweden (pictured), his partner was rather flat?
ALT1: ... that Alexander Roslin (self-portrait with the King of Sweden pictured) refused to serve Catherine the Great?
- ALT2: ... that Alexander Roslin painted his wife painting a pastel of Henrik Peill, but the painting within the painting (pictured) is a lost painting?
- Comment: If alt 2 is to be used, a good image may be File:Alexander Roslin Konstnaren och hans hustru Marie S.jpg
5x expanded by Hafspajen (talk) and Xanthomelanoussprog (talk). Nominated by Matty.007 (talk) at 20:55, 14 February 2014 (UTC).
- Plenty of expansion, so that's good. The hook is good and verified--I choose ALT2. I placed an "explain" template in the text, and the "Satin, skin" sentence needs to be incorporated in the rest of the text--who's speaking? Also, the Works section, that's one long paragraph, and that needs to be sectioned up. Drmies (talk) 04:58, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
By the way, Satin, skin was User:Yngvadottir's addition, ask her about that. (I think it may be The Oxford Dictionary of Art and Artists (Oxford University Press).Hafspajen (talk) 19:24, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
- I fixed the refs, but with the final reference (the book) I wasn't sure what was what, so that may need re-adding. Thanks, Matty.007 19:29, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
