- ... that Georg Forster's report A Voyage Round the World about the second voyage of James Cook was not published in English for almost two centuries after 1777? - Comment: My first DYK nom after a 12 year break. Technically, I have made 7 DYK nominations in the past, but none under the current system, so I would appreciate not having to do a review before I have experienced one. Other images in the article might also be suitable, especially File:Forsterundsohn.jpg.

Interesting article on good sources, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed, but not too exciting. I think it's a good illustration, but remember the last time a title page was not taken. - In the article, I'd prefer if no text was sandwiched between two images, and if the images would look "in". - I accept the reasoning for no qpq, but as you see it's not really hard, so if you review after all, you are welcome. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:34, 30 September 2019 (UTC)- One more for the article: I'd first give the short title, and then say what the full title is, and both italic. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:03, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks Gerda, I removed the Cook image so they don't bunch, moved the Forsters in Tahiti to the right, and made italic long and short titles, with only the short title in bold italics. I agree that the image isn't super exciting. Is the Forsters in Tahiti one on-topic enough for DYK? (After all, the article is about the book, not about the journey). I'll try to start reviewing other hooks soonish (I do have plans for more DYKs). —Kusma (t·c) 11:01, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
