AU Conference Center and Office Complex
[edit]
[[File:|120x133px|The AU headquarters ]]
- ... that the headquarters of the African Union were donated by the Chinese government, who hacked and bugged the building? Source: "African Union officials have accused China of hacking its headquarters’ computer systems every night for five years and downloading confidential data. Beijing funded the AU’s $200m building in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, while a Chinese state-owned company built it." Financial Times - this link is probably paywalled but FT articles are normally free via Google
- ALT1:... that the headquarters of the African Union are built almost entirely of Chinese materials – even the artwork? Source: "It is no secret that nearly all the materials were imported from China [...] all crafted by Chinese artists." Monocle - also paywalled
- ALT2 ... that the headquarters of the African Union, donated by the Chinese government, were claimed to be bugged by the Chinese?

- Nice work, thank you. Expanded on 31 January to the current state. Article is neutrally written within policies, and no copyvio were detected. I think the original hook is more interesting than ALT1, but I have one concern. Both the source and the article use the term "accuse" and "allegations", so the hook is misleading as the Chinese government has denied the espionage claim. I think it would be better to rephrase the sentence, what do you think about, ALT2 ... that the headquarters of the African Union, donated by the Chinese government, were claimed to be bugged by the Chinese? - Am happy with ALT2. Smurrayinchester 09:12, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
