2001 CECAFA Cup

[edit]
  • ... that the 2001 CECAFA Cup contained the biggest margin of victory in the competition's history?

5x expanded by Matty.007 (talk). Self nominated at 17:05, 27 July 2014 (UTC).

  • Hook and length verified. IMO, it would be interesting to include that margin. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 02:51, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Alt 1: ... that the 2001 CECAFA Cup contained the biggest margin of victory in the competition's history, with a 10 - 1 scoreline?
  • Alt 2: ... that the 2001 CECAFA Cup contained the biggest margin of victory in the competition's history, with Uganda beating Djibouti 10 - 1 scoreline? Thanks, Matty.007 07:19, 29 July 2014 (UTC)
  • All three are fine. I'll left it to the DYK volunteer, who closes the discussion, to choose which will be posted. Regards. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 23:04, 30 July 2014 (UTC)
  • Tbhotch, DYK criteria go well beyond hook and length: newness, neutrality, inline source citations (rule of thumb is at least one per paragraph), and copyvio/close paraphrasing checks. You also forgot to do a QPQ check, and Matty.007 is certainly required to do a quid pro quo review, so this cannot be approved until that is done. Please complete the review. Many thanks. • Just because I didn't mention all the DYK crap that is required doesn't mean I didn't check all the crap DYK asks for. If I weren't obligated to do a QPQ I'd not do it. Matty.007 has done his QPQ with Jones, the article is obviously not new but expanded in the allowed time, reliable sourced, and "rule of thumbs" are subjective. So unless you need something else, or you are disabled so you can't perform such task by yourself, don't send me useless notifications. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 04:29, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
