The sports of Ice hockey and lacrosse are official symbols as are the animals the beaver and Canadian horse.(ref1)
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Parliament building are defacto symbols,(ref1) as are the Canadian Rockies and the indigenous symbols the totem pole and Inuksuk.(ref2)
Material items - Maple syrup, tuques and canoes are defined as uniquely Canadian.(ref3)
A six pointed stylized hexagonal snowflake as used for the Order of Canada that has come to symbolize Canadians northern heritage and diversity.(ref4)
