Template:Cleanup bare URLs/bot/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

tagbot adds template {{Cleanup bare URLs}} to articles on-demand. It adds 1 to 20 tags per request.

Usage[edit]

  1. To run, change STOP to RUN # where "#" is how many articles to tag. Default: 5 Max: 20
Example: BOT=RUN 2 will tag 2 pages
  1. The bot monitors this page every 2 minutes.
  2. When a RUN is detected the bot begins searching and tagging.
  3. When finished, the bot resets this page back to STOP
  4. Tagged pages are listed in tracking category ‹The template Category link is being considered for merging.› Category:All articles with bare URLs for citations

System info[edit]

  • The tracking category must have 5 or less before the bot will RUN.
  • The requester's username is included in edit summaries.
  • Once the bot is running it can not stop by setting BOT=STOP.
  • If it seems like the bot is stuck in BOT=RUN contact User:GreenC
  • If the page is edited to anything other than BOT=STOP or BOT=RUN (vandalism or mistake) the bot resets the page back to BOT=STOP.
