Bach Digital harvard (BDh)

Based on {{cite web}}, the BDh template produces a citation for a page at the Bach Digital website, which can be used in combination with "harvard" type templates such as {{sfn}}.

There are only unnamed parameters, of which only the first is mandatory. The second parameter is recommended when using a number with less than five digits for the first parameter (but leading zeros can also be added to the first parameter). When used in combination with a {{sfn}} type template, the third parameter is recommended. The parameters are:

  1. Digits at the end of the web address of the Bach Digital page, that is, only the digits after the leading zeros
  2. leading zeros to be added to result in a 5-digit number
  3. "Last changed" date of the Bach Digital page
  4. "Work" or "Source", to indicate the type of page (default: "Work")
  5. Title of the page (overrides title created based on the digits entered for the first parameter)
  6. Editor of the Bach Digital page (single name) – leave empty if parameter 7 and 8 are used
  7. Last name of editor of the Bach Digital page
  8. First name of editor of the Bach Digital page

If parameters above the 3rd are used, then the 4th parameter has to be defined as either "Work" or "Source".

Examples:

    1. {{BDh|01338}} produces:
"Work 01338". Bach Digital. Leipzig: Bach Archive; et al.
    2. {{BDh|1338|0|2019-02-14}} produces:
"Work 1338". Bach Digital. Leipzig: Bach Archive; et al. 2019-02-14.
    3. {{BDh|1338|0|14 February 2019|Work|Magnificat in C BWV Anh. 30}} produces:
"Magnificat in C BWV Anh. 30". Bach Digital. Leipzig: Bach Archive; et al. 14 February 2019.
    1. {{BDh|1067|0|2020-01-09|Source}} produces:
"Source 1067". Bach Digital. Leipzig: Bach Archive; et al. 2020-01-09.
    2. {{BDh|1067|0|9 January 2020|Source|D-B Mus.ms. Bach P 195}} produces:
"D-B Mus.ms. Bach P 195". Bach Digital. Leipzig: Bach Archive; et al. 9 January 2020.
  • Using {{sfn}}:
    • If an "editor" (6th or 7th parameter) is defined: use editor/date pair as usual for harvard type references
    • If no "editor" (6th or 7th parameter) is defined and a "title" (5th parameter) is defined: use the title as defined in the 5th parameter, followed by a space and the text "at Bach Digital"
    • If neither "editor" (6th or 7th parameter) nor "title" (5th parameter) are defined: write "Work" or "Source" (whatever is applicable), followed by a space and then the characteristic number (= 1st parameter as entered in the BDh template), followed by a space and the text "at Bach Digital":
    1. {{sfn|www.bach.gwdg.de|2020}} produces:[1]
    2. {{sfn|Ehre sei dir, Gott, gesungen (Christmas oratorio, part 5) BWV 248 V at Bach Digital}} produces:[2]
    3. {{sfn|Work 11265 at Bach Digital}} produces:[3]

No space or line break adjacent to a pipe for the first four parameters:{{BDh| 1067 | 0 | 9 January 2020 | Source |D-B Mus.ms. Bach P 195}} doesn't work.
