Background
[edit]The copyright holder, Rebellion A/S have indicated that images from 2000 AD may be used within Wikipedia.
Based on individual communication with Rebellion, the owners of 2000 AD and all related copyright, artwork from the 2000 AD series can be included in Wikipedia articles as long as the author is credited and the line: "2000 AD and Character's Name copyright Rebellion A/S 2005." is included. Communication as follows:
- Dear Sir/Madam,
- I was wondering if it would be possible to use the prog 259 cover image at http://www.2000adonline.com/?zone=prog&page=profiles&choice=259 to illustrate an article about Sam Slade in wikipedia?
- Wikipedia is an online encyclopaedia, and the image would be covered by fair use laws. Any copyright notice you require can be tagged onto the image.

The above correspondence was originally noted at Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics/copyright by User:Hiding with this edit (July 31, 2005) and existed at that page until this edit (January 4, 2006), at which point a modified version of this notice existed there until User:Favre1fan93 created this documentation and removed that notice with this edit (July 14, 2024).
