Furriers
[edit]Walter Zenthoefer typically sponsored teams in the amateur St.L Municipal League. In October 1950, after 16 years of coaching, George McGann called it quits. He had previously led the team to the Amateur Cup final in 1949 against Elizabeth and the semifinal in 1950 against Harmarville. The Muny thus did not have a Zenthoefer team. The Major league had been in progress for a month and the Raiders were without a sponsor. Mr. Zenthoefer then sponsored them for the remainder of the season making it the first time he had sponsored a pro team. Libro0 (talk) 01:51, 25 January 2009 (UTC)
