Hello - is the jpg image identical to that of this site? : [1] Need some expert knowledge here if so - I know it is generally OK to reuse images of old paints for eg, but NG to reuse such of sculptures under Japanese copyright law. Dolls, I cannot tell. -- Mantokun (talk) 14:53, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to be the same image. Depending on how old the sculpture is, copyright may or may not apply. The image should be properly sourced, though. The uploader should be contacted and asked where the image came from. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 18:22, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I left a message on the uploaders talk page and tagged the file with a standard "unsourced" tag. Just for info, under the Japanese Copyright Law, photographs of three dimensional artworks are often deemed to be protected no matter how old the photographed object is.
