This is a page about YNBIT. I find someone that looks at this page and decides to remove the YNBIT constitution and claiming this is biased is complete hypocritical. I did not remove any of your obviously slanted articles or comments. For the mods who may see the in the future The NB Advocate is run by a Liberal Party member which is the Political adversary of YNBIT in their own minds. YNBIT is about community representation in local government not politics. I will happily have a civilconversation with you but you have had effective control of this page until I found it this week. YNBIT (talk) 10:28, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, with respect you are obviously someone connected to YNBIT if your account name is literally "YNBIT" and the IP address you've been using has only ever edited this page too
- Not sure how familiar you are with Wikipedia but read literally any other Australian political party page and they are not written in the manner that you've written.
- Lines like:
- "Maybe Micheal Gencher had issues with AIM 16 and 17 "
- "as well as something the Liberal’s have trouble with YNBIT Party Aims 16 and 17 “16 To never TAKE ourselves too seriously and lose sight of the bigger picture. 17. To ERADICATE spin and to be all about substance and transparency.”"
- "The Northern Beaches is Australia’s best place to live (as recently highlighted by SGS consulting’s well being index) ,let’s keep it that way, help YNBIT, get involved at: www.yournorthernbeaches.com.au"
- ESPECIALLY that last point, you cannot just say on Wikipedia "we're the best here's how you can help us", that would clearly be against impartiality standards
- Please take all this into consideration before deciding to change the page further Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 10:58, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
I will happily tone this down but you have 2 highly slanted article one by a known Liberal party member... you have also been highly biased, and I would suspect by your edits you are not a local of the Northern Beaches and member of a party that doesn't like dissent.
I have not deleted your biased articles, as you have just completely deleted my edits.
I will attempt a another version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YNBIT (talk • contribs) 11:25, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- I am not a member of any political party, and I don't need to live in a certain area to contribute to a Wikipedia article about it
- Again, I am BEGGING you to understand some basic Wikipedia standards here
- I've added the Heins quote
- I've added the line from the party constitution
- The website is already linked in an appropriate spot
- "The Northern Beaches is Australia’s best place to live" has no relevance in this article
- PLEASE read some other Australian political party pages to get an idea of standards Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 12:40, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- You cant be serious, The Liberal Party had no quotes by its political opponents on its entire post. When I found this post over 80% of the body post was completely partisan and factually inaccurate posts by political opponents.
- Therefore on your outlining of the basic understanding of what is wiki... then you should have deleted these two articles as biased.
- The first one from Pat Daley was being made BEFORE YNBIT even had an elected Councillor, YNBIT IS NOT a major party... being only on the NOrthern beaches and being a party ONLY as the 2 major parties have created benefits in electoral procedures for having a Party forcing most serious Independents across NSW to form parties.
- The Gencher quotes and speculation is pure spin with many factual errors.
- Show me that you are genuine. Delete all the quotes. Leave the original Constitution preamable and call it a day sir.
- Else on your logic I should be able to post a section on the Liberal page
- Local Government
- The Liberals also run in selected Council elections across Australia. However many Independents argue they should not be "Mitcham Mayor Glenn Spear told the ABC there were five former state and federal election candidates running for election in the City of Mitcham, along with several other candidates with party links. Mr Spear — who said he was not a member of a party — said being politically aligned made it harder to deal with politicians at other levels of government.
- "I believe a mayor should be politically independent because the mayor of a council fronts all of the political members in their city," https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-09-25/call-for-less-political-party-involvement-in-council-elections/10295974
- How long would that last?
- BUT I've got some from Regan and Heins too... actually there are hundreds of such articles... I could just cycle through the different ones as they get deleted.
- How much would it piss them off? LHITW (talk) 23:31, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
- Are you linked to YNBIT too? Seems odd a second account would come out of nowhere on this
- Sure, I've removed the "major party" quote but I'm not gonna insert a party constitution preamble just because the party is asking for it, and again, no other party has that Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 00:34, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Well we'll eventually get there. The wiki gods wouldnt let me keep YNBIT as a name.
- So you've removed the first article. Why not the second?
- Why not include information about YNBIT... The Liberal site has all sorts of things about their formation their ideals etc.
- I will be making these changes (adding the preamble)... and if they keep getting removed I might put the above post initially in the Liberal Talk section tagging you to not keep posting biased Liberal propaganda on a site about YNBIT.
- I'll say again why do you (or others) have the right to post such Liberal party political spin, speculation and propaganda and others can't even post a simple preamble highlighting their Independence let alone respond in a meaningful way to the said propaganda.
- I admit my initial response was cheeky but it is much more accurate than the previous content as the Daley article was complete spin, and Gencher in the article Heins is quoted from himself identifies his main issue... YNBIT was too Independent for him. He disagreed too much with them and so effectively couldn't agree to disagree. LHITW (talk) 01:10, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
- Please stop editing the Wikipedia article about your own party to make it more favourable. I've reformatted and added that preamble and included the Heins quote, but I really struggle to see where there is "biased Liberal propaganda". You're obviously linked to YNBIT so is it possible you're seeing bias a bit more than others?
- I'm not posting "political spin" and the NB Advocate article makes up a small section of the Wiki page, and Heins has a quote in there as well (in fact there is no Gencher quote in the page!) Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 03:00, 9 July 2024 (UTC)
