[edit]Just wanted to let all my fellow Bond nuts know that I have a website devoted to the Young Bond series (and other Bond literary news) -- The Young Bond Dossier.
The site has been up and running for a few months now and it's going strong with almost daily NEWS updates (who would have thought there was so much to say about the Young Bond series).
I’ve also extended the site beyond Young Bond to other current Bond literary happenings like the Centenary Novel, The Moneypenny Diaries, Titan books, and the occasional Casino Royale news (just the good stuff). I've also added an FAQ page .
So (here comes the commercial) when you need news on what's happening in the world of the literary Bond (and beyond), head on over to The Young Bond Dossier.
Cheers. --Zencato 18:00, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Young Bond age ?
[edit]What is Bond's age?--Brown Shoes22 04:50, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- He was 13 in SilverFin and I'm pretty sure he was 13 in Blood Fever too. For the third book he'll probably be 14 -- all three take place in 1933. They've never said when his actual date of birth is -- as far as the Higson / Fleming books go (we do know for this series he was born in 1920). Pearson's bio of Bond said November 11, but Higson may make up his own. For the whole debate on Bond's age see James Bond (character) - there's a section devoted to it. Fair use rationale for Image:HurricaneGold.jpg
[edit]Image:HurricaneGold.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Just Wondering
[edit]Am I correct in saying that in the Ian Fleming books it said something like Bond lost his virginity at about 15 while on a school trip? Does anyone know how Higson is planning on dealing with that? Just wondering. FreemDeem (talk) 18:56, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

In the short story "From A View To A Kill" Fleming says Bond lost his virginity (and wallet) in a Paris brothel when he was 16. Charlie's first set of Young Bond books end with Bond age 14, so he hasn't had to deal with it. --Zencato (talk) 01:41, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Little help?
[edit]I just tried to remove a link to a fan forum that was placed in the REF section (it does not reference anything), but when I did so, I deleted the entire section. Not sure why. I undid -- maybe someone who knows what they're doing can fix it? --Zencato (talk) 17:14, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Fixed it for you - you have to leave the 'reflist' part in so it can generate the legitimate references list. Matters were slightly obfuscated by it being on the same line as the spam. In any case, it's fixed now. H. Carver (talk) 21:01, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Edited for US?
[edit]I distinctly remember reading some years back that at least one of the Higson novels was edited for US publication to tone down either violence or innuendo. I have no idea if there's a source or this, but if one can be located it would fit into the controversy section, obviously. 23skidoo (talk) 02:21, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
