Hi. I'm Calvin999 and I am reviewing this nomination.  — Calvin999 20:57, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • "You Must Love Me is a song recorded by American singer and songwriter Madonna, and written by composers Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, for the 1996 film adaptation of the musical, Evita, based on the life of Argentinian leader Eva Perón. → This is a really long sentence. I suggest a full stop after Madonna.
  • After years of not working together, Webber and Rice collaborated on creating a new track for the film, → Why? A bit of context is needed here.
  • to sing the song's → to perform the song's / to sing to tracks. (Sing and song reads awkwardly)
  • Upon its release, → Remove, it's obvious that it has to be released to be reviewed
  • From commercial perspective, it was a moderate success, → It achieved moderate commercial success, (simplify)
  • Elsewhere, it had a relatively poor chart performance. → I don't think is needed.
  • after a ten-year creative separation → The lead indicates that there is a reason for this but is unexplained here
  • Declared as a favorite of the singer, → Madonna?
  • also grew organically due → What does grow organically mean in this sense?
  • published by Musicnotes.com, → Not needed
  • Upon its release, "You Must Love Me" received → 'Upon it's release' is just filling space, it doesn't add anything
  • Lucy O'Brien, author of Madonna: Like an Icon appreciated → Comma after Icon
  • the song stalled at number 10 → This implies that it fluctuated for a while prior?
  • in a long → in a full length
  • Although not nominated in the Best Actress category, → If it didn't happen then there's no need to talk about it. You don't need to be nominated for an acting award to perform on these ceremonies.
  • It was 11 years later that Madonna performed the song as part of her → Madonna did not perform the song again until her
  • Give some background/context on "Rainbow High" somewhere too.
  • Ref 6 shows a double quotation mark, so Evita should be wrapped in 'Evita' not "Evita", which displays "Evita""
  • Ref 42: wouldn't it just be Blu-Ray, not blu-ray.com.?
  • External links: link to the music video
  • Could also provide a link to the Academy performance?
Outcome

On hold for 7 days. I really like the Composition section, it's really well written and interesting.  — Calvin999 11:35, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Calvin999 I have addressed all the concerns except the last two. The reason being Madonna's old music videos were all removed from YouTube by Warner, and any Live performance for Oscar is from fan accounts, so not linking them here. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 13:45, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not even VEVO? That's a shame. Passing.  — Calvin999 15:06, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
