Florence & The Machine Version - MTV Ad
[edit]Could someone add the cover that Florence & The Machine has done. An up & coming indie act, the song has come to prominence of late because of the MTV 'M Stands for Music' ad in December '08. I'm hopeless at writing articles! Connor oc (talk) 15:23, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Florence and the what now?
[edit]Does this article really need so much coverage of a minor cover version by a relatively unknown artist? If it'd been a massive smash hit then maybe it'd justify having so much detail, but the fact that there are twice as many paragraphs (using paragraphs as a rough method of approximating amount of content) about the #59 hit than the #3 original seems somewhat... unbalanced? -- Bobyllib (talk) 01:47, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- Florence and the Machine is currenrly one of the best selling artists of 2009 in the UK, her album 'Lungs' would have gotten 5 weeks at number one in the UK album chart had Michael Jackson not died. Which is amazing for any new artist. This single made it to #59 chart via word of mouth alone, and is now being released as a single. If anything this cover version needs it's own article. How could you not have heard of Florence and the Machine? They are really popular in the UK! You would only have to have watched the Brit Awards to know that. --92.237.115.175 (talk) 14:49, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
Forence + the Machine Cover page split
[edit]Can I suggest that the 'Forence + the Machine Cover' section gets moved to You've Got the Love? With a note at the top of the page saying about the orginal version. Thanks, Freshpop (talk) 02:41, 11 October 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, it should be. --86.44.204.43 (talk) 01:41, 25 October 2009 (UTC)/ --Kei_Jo (aka Keithf2008) (Talk to me, baby! :P) 01:42, 25 October 2009 (UTC) (I forgot to sign in)
- Third vote here. I love both versions but smushing both of them together on the one page does neither any favours - F&tM end up crowding out the original whilst looking like interloping victims of misplaced fanwank. Pop the full blurb on its own page with a little footnote and a link on Source/Staton's... 77.102.101.220 (talk) 21:54, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Cover versions shouldn't be given separate articles. This discussion comes up all the time but consensus is always that all versions of the same song should be covered in the same article. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 00:54, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Dirtee Love
[edit]Can't we make a separate article for this? As a mash-up, it's a different song. Why have the same info both here and at "Dirtee Cash" article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.92.39.47 (talk) 13:22, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
