Yellow cardinal
[edit]We see yellow cardinals here in southern Ohio. Not often, but we do see them from time to time! 2603:6011:1505:FB4A:8D55:F3D5:50EB:10FE (talk) 06:43, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- You've likely seen a variation of a northern cardinal (cardinalis cardinalis) - they occasionally occur in yellow plumage. They are a distinct species from the yellow cardinal (gubernatrix cristata). The yellow morph or northern cardinals is discussed in that article. grungaloo (talk) 16:47, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
Vocalization study
[edit]I'm considering removing the lines from the description section that refer to the vocalizations. It appears only one study was done of this and there doesn't seem to be a large discussion around it in the broader community. I feel like is given undue weight, especially given how short the article is. grungaloo (talk) 16:49, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
