What it's parodying now?

[edit]

I actually find that this episode closely parallels the current ongoing military downsizing and the experience of crushed dreams that many rejected young applicants are facing over arbitrary standards. I would know because I'm one of them and I'm still all the more vexed that the episode leaves the issue all the more unresolved as much as it is in today's military. All they did at the end was go off on a tangent with Homer helping Bart get even with Skinner, but did nothing to offer a sensible solution to something that our government continues to go through. As much as I myself would like to make the Surgeon General think that they killed their own mother, only to make them admit that they wanted to do it, then when their mother hears it, they become a more intolerable pain in the ass than before if at all possible. That's just my two cents worth. Anyone else got theirs? --Christengo (talk) 12:07, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

When Homer drives his car onto the pier, he has a license plate with "1PHL07" on it. After he got out of the car, the plate is gone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.231.243.235 (talk) 23:59, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
