It has been mentioned that Yasir ibn Amir was the mawla of Abu Hudhaifa. Note that a mawla is not the same thing as a slave. It is more like a vassal or a servant, i.e., it refers to a voluntary alliance where one party is the social superior of the other.Grace has Victory (talk) 10:57, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
