Wildlife.
[edit]I think a good section to include for getting to GA would be a section on wildlife in the rivers and area. I will work on putting that in unless y'all think it isn't appropriate. Thank you. -- JoannaSerah (talk) 00:45, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
Pictures
[edit]Found some pictures that we might want to use here, if there's space/interest enough for them. These all come from Commons:
-
A dairy farm in Yadkin County
-
A vineyard in Yadkin County (Swan Creek)
-
Fort Defiance, an early plantation home in the very upper reaches of the basin (Caldwell County)
-
Cooleemee Plantation, a plantation in the middle reaches of the Yadkin
-
NC Research Campus for post-industrial era
-
Apparently this mushroom was first ID'd in NC, and this pic is from the Uwharrie Nat'l Forest (in the Basin)
-
Pinus palustris in the Carolina Sandhills NWR, near Cheraw
-
Brookgreen Gardens, near Myrtle Beach/Murrells Inlet
This is just a start; obviously mine tend to focus more on human habitation, but feel free to add any you might find. I chose images that didn't seem like they've been too over-used on other "region" or place articles. Cdtew (talk) 18:47, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
Cleaned
[edit]I've organized the references, but information is slim and the references need to be confirmed and filled out fully. I need to go buy a few books for reference, if they can be found. Ping me on my talk page if you know of one. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © Join WER 01:19, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
