Xephyr cannot use other keyboard layouts than the hard-coded US-PC-102!

From the source code and its documentation is obvious that Xephyr CANNOT use other keyboard layouts than PC102, and CANNOT use other keyboard mappings than US-english, since they are hard-coded into the program. I have been trying to get Xephyr to use a PC105 keyboard layout and german key mapping for a very long time, and ONLY succeeded when I edited the source code and re-compiled it.
