New page; Needs work
[edit]This new page is a good start, and with the first Xprize Cup happening next week in New Mexico, it will hopefully get a lot of work soon. However, at present it still has way too much detailed info about the historical Ansari Xprize. In my view, the detail should be left for the Ansari Xprize article with only a brief summary and link in this article. Then this article can begin to focus on the many subcategory contests that are part of the Xprize Cup. There seems to be a lot of good recent info in the online news links listed in the References section that could be culled and organized. (I added a {space-stub} to the article.) - Mistake in article?
- The article says the first X Prize cup was held in 2005, which is at odds with your 2006 post about the first X Prize Cup being held "next week." I suspect the article is wrong about an event being held in 2005. 71.219.218.225 (talk) 00:42, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
It has been over three months, and this (formerly) new article is still not very tight. In my view, if this is about the Wirefly X PRIZE Cup, it should not have near so much info on the Original X PRIZE. While that is unquestionably important stuff, this article should briefly mention it as part of the heritage of the concept, link to the OXP article, and then move on. Does anyone of the group who regularly contributes to this disagree??? N2e 04:56, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
From the article
[edit]This comment, which was probably meant to be here, was removed from the article:
- This section on the original X Prize needs to be substantially reduced. A good three or four-paragraph summary with a pointer to the main Ansari X PRIZE article has been suggested.

Older article is out-of-date; NEEDS WORK
[edit]This article is getting little/no attention and is further out-of-date. It should probably be merged with Lunar Lander Challenge or one of the other Wirefly or X-Prize articles. N2e (talk) 20:46, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, they're distinct, funding is different etc. The Cup is just a thing that the LLC and other competitions can be held at. The 2008 LLC is not going to be at a cup at all.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 04:58, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Will another exposition ever be organized?
[edit]If not, the article could be "past-tensed" (change "The X Prize Cup is a two-day air and space exposition..." to "The X Prize Cup was a two-day air and space exposition..."). 71.219.218.225 (talk) 00:44, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
